PTSD and Trauma can contribute to sleep disorders such as insomnia, night terrors and nightmares. There is a higher prevalence in children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. Juanita shares her story growing up with sleep problems for most of her life due to trauma and PTSD and how one veteran's story from the documentary, Alive Day Memories, helped her realize she's not alone in the nightmares.
